Description
A crispy, spicy, and creamy appetizer featuring mini pork sausages wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough with a filling of cream cheese, sharp cheddar, and fresh jalapeños. Perfect for game day and easy to make ahead.

- 12 oz mini pork sausage links
- 1 sheet (approx. 8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 4 oz block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 medium fresh jalapeños, diced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, and garlic powder until well combined. Adjust spice level with cayenne if desired.
- Pat mini sausage links dry with a paper towel. If too long, cut in half crosswise to create uniform pieces.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place a teaspoon of cheese mixture near the wide end of each triangle, followed by one mini sausage link.
- Roll the dough up around the sausage from the wide end, enclosing the filling. Press the seam side down onto the prepared pan.
- Brush the tops lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until the pastry is deep golden brown and puffy. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
- Cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
For a milder version, remove seeds and ribs from the jalapeños. For a spicier kick, keep the seeds or add cayenne. The dough must be fully thawed but cold to prevent tearing. These can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3 days and reheated in the oven.
